Track hours where the invoice can reach them

Time tracking that lives in a separate app is time tracking you reconstruct from memory on invoice day, badly and usually in your client's favour. Panorivo logs hours against the task they belong to, and the invoice pulls from that.

Billable and non-billable, side by side

Log everything, then decide what the client pays for. Seeing the unbillable hours next to the billable ones is how you find out what a job actually cost you, which is a different number from what you charged.

  • A running timer, or an entry added after the fact
  • Hours attach to a task, so they explain themselves later
  • Non-billable time still counts towards what the job cost

A rate per project, or one for everything

Set a default hourly rate and override it per project when a client is on different terms. Unbilled time is valued at the right rate as it accumulates.

Nothing gets billed twice

Once an entry is pulled onto an invoice it is marked as billed and stops appearing in the unbilled queue. That is the failure mode of tracking time in a spreadsheet, and it is the one clients notice.

Common questions

Can I bill a fixed fee and still track time?
Yes, and it is worth doing. Track the hours as non-billable, invoice the fixed fee, and the reports will tell you what your effective hourly rate on that job really was.
Does the timer keep running if I close the tab?
Yes - the running entry is stored server-side, not in the tab.
