Assignments, not shoots
Pick Writer in settings and the app says what you say: jobs are assignments, deliverables are drafts, and new projects start with First Draft and Final Copy.
Drafts delivered and accepted
Hand over a draft as a deliverable and ask for sign-off. Approval is recorded against a named person with a timestamp, so the second round of structural changes is a new brief rather than an assumption.
Rates that differ per client
Set a default rate and override it per project. Track hours against the assignment and they queue up unbilled at whichever rate applies.
One invoice, everything on it
At month end, unbilled time and rebillable expenses are already sitting against each project. The invoice is a review rather than an archaeology exercise.
